Lockerbie Penny

According to Coxe, the Lockerbie Penny was a coin that was palced in a cleft stick, which was then used to stir water. In doing so, it imbued the water with the power to cure sick animals.

Lockerbie (Scottish Gaelic: Locarbaidh) is a town in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland.

It lies approximately 75 miles from Glasgow, and 20 miles from the English border.
